The biggest Welsh film of all time is currently filming!  Merthyr born film director Neil Jones is helming the project, involving thousands of extra's, hundreds of film and boxing stars, and all working on the film to bring the story of Howard Winstone to the silver screen! The British actor Stuart Brennan is taking the role of Howard. The film will be titled 'Risen', and is expected in Cinema's in 2008.

Winstone was recently elected as Merthyr's Man of the Century after a large local vote was cast in the Welsh valleys. An event was held in support of the Mayor's Charity Appeal to celebrate this achievement.
